The weather affects my writing
The effect of the tremendous thunder claps and sky-splitting bolts of lightning were lessened by the sound of the gentle pitter-patter of the rain on the roof of Angelus' room. People always noted how powerful a thunder storm could be. Angelus couldn't help but realise how calming the rain was. She shut her eyes and concentrated on the sound of the raindrops dripping down from the roof slats onto the concrete tiles on the ground outside. Pitter patter. Pitter. Patter. The storm and the rain were subsiding, but the rain prevailed, although it was much lighter than it had been minutes before.Angelus looked out the window at the glum horizon, the clouds glowing red and looming dark. Even with such a depressing sight, the sound of the rain continued to sooth her aching brain. She was sick of studying. Tests were starting tomorrow and their end didn't seem to be anywhere too near. On the other hand, this was also her chance to prove that she was more than good looks and lucky breaks. This would show her classmates just what she was made of.
She turned away from the window and gazed at her desk again. Where to start?
